About Andrea Louise Jones
“Not all of us can do Great things, But we can do small things with great love.” - Mother Teresa
It used to be said that, “You want to know what matters most to a person, take a look at their checkbook”. Today, most checkbooks lay unused in the back of a locked drawer. While what we spend our money on does say a lot about us, I believe a look at our photo reels will tell a slightly more honest story.
If you were to open my iPhone you’d be bored by pictures of the things I love. My friends, family, dog, cat (duh) and yes even our hard won carnival fish, Cheese. These things say a lot more about me than my credentials listed below. Our fish Cheese for instance, will for sure make his way into one of my future stories. Not because s/he has solved Quantum Physics, but because Cheese is the happiest fish I have ever met. I have no idea why Cheese is so happy, but his happiness is contagious and makes us laugh. Cheese, in all his pal-gold glory, brings joy to my family and so s/he’s been immortalized in my photo reel.
The goal in any fiction or creative non-fiction piece I write is, like Cheese, to bring to life something that may otherwise have been overlooked. My goal is to inspire you to respond to life, enjoy it. Yes, even those difficult spots in the journey. If one honest story can help someone else avoid being drown by life and find a companion in murky waters, I’ll feel satisfied at the end of my writing journey.
